Especially this Christmas when things are so tight and times are financially challenging my husband and I aren’t just buying presents. There is no money to just buy more stuff that our children are never going to play with after the first week of Christmas vacation……

Helping your children feel safe and secure in a crazy and sometimes chaotic world is something as parents we want to do. What better way of helping to give them a safe and secure place that will ignite their imagination & spark their creativity. Give them a present that will last for years. Decorate their room WITH them.

1-Find out what your child likes, what themes, colors, style or dreams that inspires your child. Sit and talk spend an afternoon drawing & dreaming on paper. Draw a bunch of different ideas.

2-Take your time to create a furniture layout plan (find here) and secretly figure out room projects.

3-Purchase mural pieces or wall stickers which are really easy & fun to put up with your kids and in a big box Christmas morning put their drawings on top of all the fun stuff that you will create together. Fun projects you will paint and decorate together. What better way to keep them busy this holiday vacation and spend valuable time together which is the best gift of all.
